Like our iced sweet blackberry tea, the deep purple color makes it a visually appealing drink. The recipe is also easily customized to make the perfect cocktail.

    Reasons to Love

    Variations

    • Non-alcoholic: If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka from the recipe. You will still be left with a delicious blueberry-infused lemonade that all ages can enjoy.
    • Modify the flavor: Substitute regular vodka with flavored vodka or add mixed berries for extra flavor. You can also try options like raspberry or blackberry instead of blueberries to switch things up.
    • Make the drink sparkle: Use club soda instead of water for a refreshing cocktail with bubbling fizz.

You can also try adding a splash of vodka to our strawberry lemonade recipe.

why does it say to use 3/4 cup water divided. why divided as it says to add lemon juice water etc all together and no mention where to use the other half of the 3/4 cup of water

That was a carry-over from an original version where only half the water was used to make the blueberry syrup. The rest of the water was added to dilute the syrup. However, it's easier to just add all the water with the blueberries so the recipe changed. Recipe card has been updated. Thanks for letting us know about the error!

Tried this recipe last night and it was a hit! The homemade blueberry syrup was key - so much better than store-bought mixes. Loved the customizability too - I went a little lighter on the vodka and added some raspberries for an extra fruity twist. Thanks for sharing!
