Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pot pie

Instructions

  • The first thing you'll need to do is preheat the air fryer to 400°F. This will vary depending on the specific model you have. Then reduce the cooking time recommended on the package by about 20% (Time x 0.20) which will be your total cooking time.
  • Take frozen pot pie out of package and place it in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook in preheated air fryer for ten minutes or until top is browned.
  • Cover the pot pie with aluminum foil so the crust does not burn. Reduce temperature to 380°F and continue cooking for ten minutes less than your total calculated time. If the pie filling is still cold, continue cooking in 3 minute increments.

Notes

Use foil over crust. Be sure to cover the crust with foil to prevent it from getting overcooked.
Microwave first. Microwaving the pot pie for a few minutes before placing it in the air fryer will speed up the cooking time.
Adjust baking time as needed. Some freezers are set colder than other so you may need more cooking time. Your air fryer may also need more or less time so check for doneness a few minutes before the calculated time.
Allow the filling to cool before eating. Poke a hole in the top crust to vent and allow it cool so you don't burn your mouth on the filling.
