Pre-heat Air Fryer at 370°F (188°C). Set at 12 minutes.
Properly clean carrots. Pat dry. Remove ends and peel.
Cut carrots diagonally, about ¼ inch per slice.
Place carrots in a large shallow bowl. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gently toss.
Add softened butter. Smear butter all over carrots.
Pour maple syrup. Combine well.
Place carrots on a single layer onto the Air Fryer tray. Slowly insert tray into the middle cooking chamber, near the rotisserie catch. Use a second tray for the remaining of the carrots, if needed.
After 4 minutes, baste each carrot with the butter-maple syrup mixture. Turn carrots and return to the cooking chamber. Do this to the second tray, if using.
No need to wait for the “turn food” reminder provided by the Air Fryer.
Air Fry carrots for another 5 minutes or until crisp tender.
The second tray will cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
This Air Fryer recipe was tested on an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Not all Air Fryers cook the same way. It’s best to keep watch during your initial tests after purchasing.First Air Fryer tray is inserted into the middle cooking chamber, near the rotisserie catch. The second tray is inserted at the lower part, near the drip pan. Once the first tray has been removed, transfer the second tray into the middle cooking chamber. If you will not close the door while turning and basting the food, the Air Fryer temperature might change. It’s best to close the door and manually adjust the timer as needed.TIPS:Use a sharp knife when cutting carrots to ensure even cooking. The carrots were diagonally sliced at ¼ inch to prevent the carrots from burning due to the maple syrup.
