Preheat Air Fryer at 300°F (149°C). Set at 15 minutes.
In a small dipping bowl, combine cinnamon, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg.
In a large shallow bowl with walnuts, spray olive oil.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the walnuts, then mix well. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture and continue to mix until well combined.
Drizzle honey over the walnut mixture, then mix until walnuts are completely coated with honey.
Lastly, sprinkle brown sugar over the walnut mixture and mix until the walnuts are evenly coated with brown sugar.
In a parchment lined Air Fryer tray, transfer walnut mixture and spread in a single layer.
Slowly insert Air Fryer tray into the middle cooking chamber, near the rotisserie catch.
Air Fry Honey Spiced Walnuts for 12 to 15 minutes while keeping an eye on the last 3 minutes to avoid overcooking. Stir the walnuts every 5 minutes for even browning.
No need to wait for the “turn food” reminder provided by the Air Fryer.
Once the Honey Spiced Walnuts are golden brown, remove from the cooking chamber. Place Air Fryer tray on a baking sheet, spread out the walnuts, and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Serve as is, use as appetizer on charcuterie boards, top on salads, and more.
Notes
his Air Fryer recipe uses an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Not all Air Fryers cook the same way. It’s best to keep watch during your initial tests after purchasing.TIPS:The addition of brown sugar makes it mildly sweet that’s perfect for snacking. Lessen the brown sugar or omit entirely when using Honey Spices Walnuts on savory recipes like salads, sweet potatoes, and roasted butternut squash. Add an additional 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar if you prefer a sweeter version. Keep an eye on the last 3 minutes in the Air Fryer. The longer the cooking time, the more the Air Fryer heats up.
