Pre-heat Air Fryer at 370°F (188°C). Set at 15 minutes.
Thaw 1 sheet of puff pastry sheet. Once it’s pliable, unfold puff pastry on a prepared tray lined with parchment paper and dusted with some flour.
Cut puff pastry into 6 rectangles equally.
Place semi-sweet chocolate morsels at the center of each rectangle of puff pastry. Fold puff pastry on both sides. Press the end tips with a fork. Make two slits on top of the pastry dough.
If the puff pastry has been too soft, chill in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes or the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
Gently transfer chocolate stuffed puff pastry onto the Air Fryer tray. Make sure there is enough space on all sides of the puff pastry.
Lightly brush each chocolate stuffed puff pastry with beaten egg.
Slowly insert Air Fryer tray into the middle cooking chamber near the rotisserie catch.
Air Fry chocolate puff pastry for 12 to 15 minutes or until they completely puff and are golden brown.
Remove tray from the cooking chamber. Cool for a couple of minutes.
Transfer to a serving plate and lightly dust with confectioners’ sugar using a sieve.
Notes
This Air Fryer recipe uses an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Not all Air Fryers cook the same way. It’s best to keep watch during your initial tests after purchasing.TIPS:I used 1 sheet of a store-bought ready-to-bake puff pastry, 17.3 ounces pack.I used Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet morsels but you can use your favorite semi-sweet chocolate chips brand. If you love dark chocolates, you can use dark chocolate chips instead.Place the seam at the bottom if you prefer a neat puff pastry. Place the seam on top if you prefer for the puff pastry to puff unevenly.Lightly spray Air Fryer tray with oil to avoid puff pastry from sticking, if you have an old Air Fryer tray.If you chill puff pastry after stuffing chocolates, it will puff more in the Air Fryer.
