Steak and Mushrooms

With just a few simple steps, you'll have a mouthwatering dish ready in no time.

This recipe is quick and easy, making it ideal for busy days.

INGREDIENTS: sirloin steak button mushrooms butter balsamic vinegar dried thyme salt pepper

Slice the mushrooms if needed.

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a small skillet over low to medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds. Add the mushrooms, salt, balsamic vinegar, and thyme. Cook until the mushrooms are brown and tender. Remove mushroom balsamic sauce and keep warm.

In an 8-inch cast-iron skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Season both sides of the steak with salt and pepper.

Cook the meat in the skillet over medium-high heat, turning once, to medium done, 2 to 4 minutes each side.

Remove steak from pan and cut into thin slices.

Serve steak slices with the mushroom balsamic sauce spooned on top. Drizzle additional vinegar on top if desired. Enjoy!
