Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ pounds Baby Back Ribs cut in half
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon BBQ seasoning
  • cup BBQ sauce
  • kosher salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Pre-heat Air Fryer at 275°F (135°C). Set at 45 minutes.
  • Pat dry all sides of baby back ribs. Discard excess fat.
  • Season both half baby back ribs with salt, black pepper, and BBQ seasoning. Allow the dry rub to rest for at least 15 minutes in room temperature or refrigerate for one hour.
  • Gently transfer baby back ribs (meat side down) onto Air Fryer tray, creating some distance and slowly insert tray into the middle cooking chamber, near the rotisserie catch.
  • After 10 minutes, baste all sides of baby back ribs with BBQ sauce. Increase the temperature at 300°F (149°C) *See notes for basting and closing the door.
  • After 20 minutes, baste all sides and turn baby back ribs, meat side up.
  • At the last 5 minutes, brush last batch of BBQ sauce on all sides of the baby back ribs. Return the Air Fryer tray in the cooking chamber with the baby back ribs meat side up. Increase the temperature at 400°F (205°C).
  • Remove the Air Fryer tray and allow the baby back ribs to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This Air Fryer recipe uses an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Not all Air Fryers cook the same way. It’s best to keep watch during your initial tests after purchasing.
TIPS:
If you do not close the door while basting the baby back ribs, the Air Fryer temperate might change. It’s best to close the door and manually adjust the timer if needed.
