In a small container combine garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne powder, and smoked sweet paprika. Mix well. Pat dry boneless chicken thighs for this recipe then season with salt, ground black pepper, and the garlic mixture.
Place chicken thighs onto air fryer basket or tray, skin side up and place in air fryer. After 5 minutes, lightly baste chicken with the mustard mixture. Flip and air fry the chicken skin side down in the air fryer.
Pour honey into the remaining mustard mixture. Mix well. After 10 minutes, brush both sides of chicken with the honey-mustard mixture. Return to the cooking chamber, skin side up. Cook the chicken at 390°F for the last 2 minutes.
